Vamp, we've got the same mouse. I love the weights myself, although I don't use the DPI shift buttons at all.

Ugh didn't want to say it but I have the G5 as well - and to steal wind from Gurtman's sails I believe he has a Logitech G5 laser-mouse as well.

I don't use the weights because they make my hand/arm prematurely tired and like Lugz I also don't use the DPI buttons... nice mouse Vamp!

How do you guys like the G5s, I have a G9, and I find it awesome and comfortable ( never touch the dpi, hard enuff to get it set in the first place)

G5 is good if you rest your palms on the entire mouse. I use the G9 to complement my "claw grip". I dont really mess with the dpi settings either.

I'm the opposite. I used the weights at first and didn't like em, don't like it heavy. I also have all 5 dpi presets used. I switch through them a lot too.

Even though they're pieces of shit, I love my G5. I load it up with all the heavy weights. I can't do the "claw" grip thing so I doubt I could rock the G9.

The G9 actually comes with 2 interchangeable shells to suit your style. One large rubbery shell like the G5, and a smaller grippier shell for claw users. Plus there's also the weights if you ever need them. Something to keep in mind if you're looking to upgrade, Gurt.
